Lazio Ceramic Sink Care Guide
Download PDFCare & Maintenance
✓ After each use, clean your sink with a soft cloth, warm water, and liquid detergent e.g. BrillCare or liquid Ajax. Dry with a soft cloth.
✓ Remove all stains as soon as possible, using hot water and a non-abrasive cleaner.
✗ Do not use abrasive cleaners, abrasive scrub pads and aggressive chemicals. These can scratch the sink surface, making it susceptible to stains.
Organic stains e.g. tea, coffee, fruit juice, wine
Fill the sink with a highly diluted organic cleaner such as bleach and leave overnight. Rinse with warm water and a soft cloth.
Specialist stains e.g. ink, oil-based stains or paint
Use a cloth dampened with methylated spirits. Meths can dissolve paint, so do not let it come into contact with painted surfaces.
Lines caused by pots or cutlery
Rub with a cloth or sponge and liquid detergent.
Mineral buildup e.g. limescale, white residue
Cover the bottom of the sink with a mixture of white vinegar and water and soak for a few hours. Then rub the bottom of the sink vigorously with the stiff side of a sponge, and rinse thoroughly with water.
✗ Avoid placing pots, pans or other hot objects in excess of 280°C on the surface of the sink. The bottom of a pot or pan just removed from the stove can be over 600°C! Pots, pans and other hot objects must be placed on potholders (made of wood, rubber, etc.).
✗ Avoid putting very hot and very cold objects on the sink at the same time, as this can cause thermal shock.
✗ Do not use the sink as a cutting surface. Use a cutting board made of hardwood or polyethylene.
✗ Avoid letting heavy or pointed objects fall on the surface of the sink.
✗ Do not pour alcohol, gasoline, trichloroacetic acid or any solvents onto the sink. These can react with the structure of the sink and damage it beyond repair.
Please note your Lazio Keratek Plus Ceramic Sink is stain resistant, not stain proof. We recommend cleaning your sink after each use.
